In this SATs Archive, you can find all of the articles on our site which are about SATs. We look at different trends to give you a good overview of current and future trends and developments.

This tag archive page focuses on standardized ability tests. Traditionally, these are also split into 3. Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. Plus, more recently GL Assessment has been introducing its excellent replacement  CAT4  (as an alternative to the SAT’s benchmarking system) into many schools.

However, these are now carried out at the end of Key Stage 1 (Year 2) and Key Stage 2 (Year 6). In 2010 Key Stage 3 SATs were scrapped and have been replaced by formal teacher assessment in each of the National Curriculum subjects. The Key Stage 1 version will also be scrapped in 2023. Until then Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 learners will have to complete these.

In this tag archive, you will find all blog posts relating to this important exam. We also provide practice examples for this on other pages of the site.
